A Nigerian lady has marked one year since she lost her job with a beautiful photoshoot.
The lady identified as Ijeoma Nkwonta in a
Linkedln post recounted how she lost her last job.
She said her fears were confirmed when on March 24th, 2020 her name was listed among those the company was to lay off due to the pandemic.

"I was on that list!
"When my then HOD and supervisor called me to tell me, at a point I stopped hearing what they were saying, the only thing on my mind was, I don’t want this news to affect my mum," she explained.
The HR Consultant stated that presently she is her own boss, plus she has two persons working for her.
According to her, she came to understand the business of her skills and highlighted skills, efficiency of delivery and network as where lies one's job security not in company.
"It’s one (1) year down the line and I started my entrepreneurial journey courtesy that push, I have two (2) employees now and I understand the business of my skills better.
"I moved from a tale of job loss to launching a course on how to land ones dream job."

She said the head of the HR in the company she works with left for Canada in 2019 after getting permanent residency in the North American country and a staffer was made interim manager.
She wrote:
"Our head of HR got Canada PR and left in 2019. Another staff was made interim HR and she also got PR and left for Canada in 2020.
